while i get the frustration with the noorhelm storyline, this is the last season, noora needs some kind of closure in that respect (and i hope it will be her finding self-love and self-worth) and this is sana’s pov: she puts her friends before herself, she distracts herself from her own problems by listening to theirs and being there for them. i’m sure the plot as it has quite a variety of plotlines currently will become much more focused as we get deeper into the season.
as for noora not reaching out to the girls and it appearing like a step back from her development in season 2 which left her and many viewers empowered, i’m not really sure if i can personally judge that plotline enough at this point as it seems we are still missing some puzzle pieces. did noora feel left out from the other girls after moving to london? did she not want to show ‘weakness’ after she got her supposed fairytale ending and did not want to make the girls relive the summer with her all over again? was she unable to talk about the whole thing at all, especially when william (once again) left her to face it alone, so that even the girls would’ve been a bad reminder? i really do not think we can just simplify noora’s trauma here and think of this as a regression. assault victims have an incredibly hard time to ever find closure, it’s pretty impossible really, so noora standing up to nikko and putting him down in season 2, unfortunately was never a done deal. her struggle to witness against him is not uncommon at all among assault victims that just want to quit having to relive it again and again.
