It's obviously very murky rn and their response was a start but I don't know how to reconcile one of my favorite bands and people I look up to being possible sexual abusers. i’ve gotten a couple of messages regarding this and i’ve finally had a chance to look through the allegations (available here, if anyone else is interested - trigger warning for sexual assault). 

EDIT, may 11, 4:20 PM: the allegations are now being supported by the band t-rextasy, who were due to tour with pwr bttm this summer. they are saying they were contacted privately months ago and warned by someone who had been abused by ben. it appears that they are now pulling out of the tour.

EDIT, may 11, 8:30 PM: a friend of one of the victims has confirmed the allegations to me. i’m leaving my original response below the cut for posterity, but i have to be very clear that i’m done with pwr bttm from this point forward and i wish any and all victims the best in finding justice.
